Tell me more about the 2026 Retreat!

This is your invitation to pause.
To step away from the pace, the pressure, the constant doing – and give yourself the kind of care you’re always offering everyone else.
It's been a wild time in the world lately, and this year we wanted to honour our community with an experience even more special - so we're taking the luxury up a notch with an amazing, values-aligned venue, and bringing along not only our Haven friend & Balinese local, Yogi Desy, but also our Head Coach Lynsey! We value family at Haven and as such, Coach Lynsey will be accompanied by her own family, wife Alex & two little ones. Please note, that though they'll be part of our experience enjoying in some meals and movement, they'll also have their own private quarters set away from the main villas.
Our 2026 Haven Retreat is a deeply nourishing, all-inclusive experience designed to help you reconnect with yourself in the most supportive, easeful way. Set just outside Ubud, surrounded by lush jungle and quiet beauty, this is your space to soften, breathe, and be looked after.

FAQS
WHAT TIME WILL THE RETREAT BEGIN?
The retreat officially begins on Tuesday 18th August with a Welcome Dinner (arrival to retreat is from 3pm - and we'll coordinate to arrange airport pickups with you). There is a chance to arrive the night prior (see below & chat with me!).
WHAT TIME DOES THE RETREAT END?
On Sunday 23rd August, we'll complete our morning practice and enjoy breakfast before closing our retreat at 11am.
WHERE IS THE RETREAT?
In a private location just 15 minutes east of Ubud nestled amongst the rice fields (*however heavy traffic can mean this is 30 minutes+)
HOW DO I GET TO THE RETREAT?
You'll need to fly into Denpasar Airport (DPS) and we'll provide complimentary airport transfers on the first and last dates of the retreat. Please note that with any accommodation arranged pre and post retreat is not included in the retreat rate.
WHAT ABOUT FLIGHTS?
Flights are not included, however I’m eager to support you in choosing the best options for your travel. From past experience, many folk like to take a few extra days to spend at the start or end of the retreat, which you're very welcome to do. If you do prefer to arrive on the day the retreat begins, we ask that you book a daytime arrival into Bali, so there’s ample time to travel through to Ubud and settle in before our opening evening and Welcome Dinner on the 18th. (Ubud is a drive from the airport, and traffic can be quite congested, so we need to allow extra time for this.) Airlines like Jetstar, Batik & Garuda Indonesia generally offer suitable daytime arrival options.
Many other airlines offer flights from Sydney arriving late in the evening (often 9–10pm+) so if you’re opting for one of these, we encourage you to arrive the day prior to the retreat start for a smoother, more relaxed experience. If this is the case, you're invited to join me for night at a comfortable hotel near the airport so you can land, rest comfortably, and transition to the retreat together the following day. I'm happy to provide this stay inclusive - please chat with me.
Departure note: We’ll close the retreat at 11am on the final day and most flights depart for Sydney later in the evening. If you're returning to Sydney, you’re welcome to enjoy a relaxed day in Ubud before a group transfer to the airport, or if you're extending your stay no problem - we can help coordinate either option.
DO I NEED A VISA FOR BALI?
Travelers from Australia can now obtain a simple Visit Visa (B1, or also known as VISA ON ARRIVAL (VoA) - get it online or upon arrival) and you'll need to have a passport with at least 6 months of validity from the date you plan to enter. Please read for updated VISA regulations per country from the Smart Traveller website and Bali.com
DO I NEED TO BYO YOGA MAT?
No - you can pack lightly! Everything is provided for you including mats and bolsters.
WHAT LEVEL ARE THE CLASSES TAUGHT AT?
As always at Haven, we'll be offering variations to support a variety of levels and all our Havenites are welcome.
ARE ALL THE PRACTICES COMPULSORY?
Not at all! Although we're offering 2-3 movement practices daily, you may participate as much or as little as you like! There are plenty of options for movement, rest or exploring. You choose!
IS THERE WIFI?
Yes, but we'll be encouraging some screen-free days to enjoy being present in our beautiful retreat!
DO I NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE?
Appropriate travel insurance is a must for joining us on retreat and should include cover for cancellation, medical and repatriation expenses, personal injury and accident, death and loss of personal baggage and money and personal liability insurance.
Additionally, please visit the Smart Traveller website for all need-to-knows - you may register your travel plans with DFAT, so that you may be more easily contacted in an emergency.
WHAT ABOUT VACCINATIONS?
Covid vaccination requirements have been lifted however we recommend ensuring your routine vaccinations are up-to-date and to check with your GP for any individual needs a month prior to your visit.
CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
Unfortunately we don't have a lot of wiggle room so the deposit is non-refundable.
Any cancellations must be notified by email. Fees will be charged if you cancel your booking. This includes all fees charged by suppliers and may be up to 100% of the booking price. If you're unable to attend due to extenuating circumstances (eg serious injury, accident) we will consider on a case by case basis and may offer a credit for future events, or a partial refund. A full refund may be possible only if you are able to secure another Havenite in your place.
If you fail to show up for any reason no refund will be given. No refund can be offered for reduction of stay and no refunds can be given for change of mind.
If it is in everyone's best interests to cancel the trip at any time prior to departure due to terrorism, natural disasters, political instability or other external events outside our reasonable control we will offer a rescheduled date and/or refund (less any unrecoverable expenses). We are not responsible for any incidental expenses you may have incurred as a result of your booking including but not limited to visas, vacinations, travel insurance excess or non refundable flights.
In the event that we do not meet the minimum number of bookings to provide the trip a reschedule or a full refund will be offered, however you shall not be entitled to make any claim for loss as a consequence of said cancellation.
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED?
Flights, visa, extra meals, shopping, incidentals, tips & discretionary spending.
HOW MUCH MONEY DO I NEED?
As this is mostly an all-inclusive retreat, the only things you will need to pay for are personal incidentals, shopping, tips and the meals that are not included in the retreat package (eg if you opt for any outings off site, exploring the fabulous Balinese restaurants during your outings). Cash is still widely used in Bali especially in markets, smaller shops and cafes, and is only accepted in Indonesian Rupiah. There are many ATMs and money changers in Ubud and most shops and restaurants have credit card facilities.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Key items to bring for your retreat in Bali are swimsuits if you plan on pool dipping, flip flops/sandals, walking shoes / sneakers, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreendresses or comfy light clothing, yoga/gym wear, light pajamas, and personal toiletries, device chargers, insect repellant, a reusable water bottle, any medications & vitamins you require. Make sure you pack clothing that is loose and comfortable – comfort is key! Towels and all yoga equipment will be provided. A pre-trip packing list will be provided to you after booking.
WHAT WEATHER CAN I EXPECT IN UBUD IN JULY?
In Ubud the weather in June is generally perfect, characterized by high temperatures and moderate rainfall. Throughout the daytime, temperatures often hover around 28°C. However, as the sun sets and evening approaches, there's a noticeable cool-down, with temperatures gently dropping to a more temperate 23°C.
WHAT TYPE OF FOOD IS PROVIDED AND WHAT IF I HAVE SPECIAL DIETARY REQUESTS?
Wholesome mostly vegetarian local dishes sourced from local produce plus fruit, juice, tea & coffee will be offered. Special dietary requests (includding n on-vegetarian) can be catered for upon prior request.
IS THERE ALCOHOL?
This is an alcohol-free retreat, but you're welcome to enjoy as you wish off-site (ie we'll be enjoying a group dinner off site for one meal together, and you'll also have 'free time' to explore should you wish).
HOW DO I AVOID 'BALI BELLY'?
No one wants to spend their retreat on the loo or in bed, so we'll be following strict hygiene measures on our retreat. However, if you are traveling in Bali before or after your retreat here are a few suggestions. Make sure all meat and seafood is thoroughly cooked (not raw or rare - it may be wise to avoid the following foods while travelling – Sushi, Street Vendor Food, Salads or Raw food at smaller local cafes - it's better to eat local foods like nasi goreng and cooked foods at local cafes ‘warungs’). Do not drink tap water, use tap water to brush your teeth, or swallow shower water. Strictly only drink and used bottled water. Maintain good bathroom hygiene and ensure you wash you hands before eating and regularly throughout the day.
Take good care and manage stress leading up to the retreat, and get a good sleep before your flight!
